Pre confederation
Treaties
Treaties
concluded between 1763 and 1867 focused on securing access to
lands and resources, to allow loyalists fleeing the United States
to settle, and to enable resource development.
These include
the Upper Canada Lands Surrenders and the
Robinson treaties.
Traditional Territories
include all the lands that
the band used for their existance, vast territories were needed to
sustain the food needed to keep families alive, families used
certain lands and shared resource with others when other
territories were low on the resource needed. |
